Marietta dentists discuss the noticeable symptoms of gum disease

Patients in the Marietta community who visit 32 Dental are welcomed by our staff of professionals. Drs. Lan Vo and Sean Breckley have committed their careers to assisting patients in achieving better dental health and wellness while also enhancing the appearance of their smiles.

While a beautiful smile is essential, so is prevention. Preventative services are very important to the team at 32 Dental. We educate patients on the problems that can arise due to poor oral health care, including the development of cavities and gum disease. We want our patients to know that maintaining a healthy smile can be easy if they follow proper dental health guidelines and visit us regularly for examinations and cleanings. We want our patients to fully understand the harm that certain conditions can cause to the teeth, gums, and bone, including the damage that can be done due to gum disease.

Gum disease is an inflammatory condition that results from bacteria that develops on the gum tissue and can take over, infecting the entire mouth. If left undiagnosed and untreated, patients will experience symptoms including:
  • Bad breath
  • Loose teeth
  • Lost bone
  • Shrinking gum tissue
  • Bleeding gums
  • Increased pocket depth between teeth and gums
Gum disease in the later stages is often irreversible and can only be controlled. However, the earliest stage, known as gingivitis, can be addressed with a thorough cleaning and possibly the application of antibiotics. The earlier patients intervene in their condition, the more likely they are to control it.

If you are experiencing any of the signs of gum disease, it is important that you seek an examination from a dental professional to enjoy an early diagnosis and discuss treatment options. Drs. Lan Vo and Sean Breckley of 32 Dental can help in addressing any stage of gum disease and provide patients with an effective treatment to restore the health and wellness of their smiles.

I've been seeing Dr. Breckley and Dr. Vo since they opened this practice, and I'm still a huge fan. I recently had some dental work done with them (like this morning). I've never doubted the doctors' abilities, and this experience was no exception. They are experts and are very good at their craft. I want to also mention the support staff, especially the women on the front desk. They are thorough, helpful, and so very nice. I've never experienced the follow-up and follow through at another practice as I have with them at 32 Dental. I always know what my bill will be. There are never any surprises, and that is so comforting in this day of American healthcare. :) I'll continue to refer my friends to them and patron their practice based on my experiences with them! Thanks!

Wow." I would definitely recommend this practice to anyone who wants both kids and adults to be taken care of at the same location!

32 Dental was quick and kind. The office staff was efficient and the dentist was very thorough. He referred me to a specialist due to the type of root canal needed. He was able to find one available for the same day. I will definitely use them in the future.
