When patients experience concerns such as tooth loss or extraction, they are faced with the idea of restorations. Our team of professionals are pleased to provide several options, including dentures, dental bridges, and dental implants.
Understanding the benefits of dentures
Often, when patients hear of dentures, they think of the unsightly, false teeth that their grandparents used to wear. Issues such as poor fit and function may also come to mind. However, dentures have come a long way over the years, and Drs. Lan Vo and Sean Breckley are pleased to provide a variety of options. There are several types of dentures that are available in the office for patient consideration. Below are the dentures used to improve the smile:
Partial denture – the first type of denture is partial dentures. A partial denture is a removable appliance that is fabricated using a metal and acrylic framework. Like the way a retainer pops into the dental arch, a partial denture does the same, but with more discreet positioning of the wires. The denture includes false teeth that slide into place where the lost teeth once resided, allowing patients to restore the beauty and function to their smile with a simple restoration. Partial dentures are simple to remove, which makes them easy to care for and adjust as necessary.
Full denture – the most commonly known type of denture is the full denture. This is the denture that is used when patients are missing all the teeth from a dental arch. These dentures include false teeth and false gum tissues to complete the look. Most patients use denture adhesive to keep these dentures in place and to keep them from shifting around and resulting in the development of sores.
Implant-supported denture – one of the best options for our patients to consider is implant-supported dentures. These are full dentures that are made to snap into place over dental implants placed along the dental arch, typically four implants. These implants are placed into the bone during oral surgery, and the process of osseointegration is allowed to occur. This is bone growth that is naturally stimulated once the titanium implant is put in place. Implant-supported dentures are the gold standard because they can hold up to anything, with superior strength and durability. However, not every patient is a proper candidate for implant-supported dentures, as they do require patients to have enough bone structure for successful implantation. Candidacy can be determined during a consultation appointment and evaluation and will often include x-rays, which aide in planning oral surgery in preparation for implants.
Which one is right for me?
Our team is proud to offer patients a wide selection of services when it comes to replacing missing teeth. The idea of dentures can be daunting, but with the help of our staff, we can assist patients in feeling more comfortable knowing what to expect and getting a better picture of how dentures will play a role in their oral health and wellness. Some patients take into consideration the cost of the restoration. In some cases, dental insurance plans can provide partial or full coverage for dentures.
Are there alternatives to dentures?
Of course! Our practice not only offers dentures for patients, we also provide alternative solutions such as dental bridges and dental implants. Dental implants are great for replacing single teeth, while dental bridges can replace one to three teeth in a row as a more permanent option than partial dentures.

Dr. Vo and Dr. Breckly are absolutely fantastic! Never worry about another painful trip to the dentist if you are going to see them. They make sure you are never in any pain throughout the entire procedure. I just had my wisdom teeth removed and Dr. Vo did a fabulous job, as always. I had four impacted wisdom teeth and they were out before I knew it. I was up and eating solid food the very same day, and could have been back at work if I needed to. My stitches fell out within a few days and everything healed up much faster than any of my friends who saw other doctors. I stayed awake for the procedure, and I would say that it definitely is much better than being put to sleep. It has a faster heal time and less discomfort. My face honestly didn't even swell. I've gone to Dr. Vo and Breckly for minor things before and they have always been amazing, but after my great experience with something more major, I know they are by far the two of the best dentists, I have ever seen.
Dr. Vo and Dr. Berkley are the ONLY dentists we see. Dr. Vos taken care of my parents, my husband, our daughter and son, and myself for the past 7 years. We love the care and the personal relationship she establishes with her patients. She takes the time to get to know us, our families, our dental concerns, which is NOT the usual in the business.Thank you for everything. Dr. Berkley is very attentive and gently with my children. We came in for a cleaning yesterday and they did great under his medical care. The staff is extremely professional and willing to help. Amazing team. If you have been afraid of the dentist, check them out and theyll change your mind about dentistry.
My family and I love Dr. Vo. I would suggest this practice to anyone who wants a dentist and staff that truly care about your health and will go above and beyond the typical dentist. I followed Dr. Vo from a previous office, and although this office is farther away, it is worth it because of how caring the staff is.
Switched to 32 dental after Dr. Breckley left Dr. Goetees practice. Great staff, and nice space. They use the latest technologies and have K cups in the waiting room!
Dr. Vo is fantastic. She is patient, knowledgeable, and excellent at her job, and most importantly, she takes time to answer your questions and explain any concerns she has about your teeth, so you really know what\'s going on. It inspires me to take better care of my teeth. By far, she is the best dentist I have been been to, and I highly recommend her. No more of those dime-a-dozen dentists for me!
