Drs. Lan Vo and Sean Breckley of Kennesaw, GA are dentists who are pleased to provide comprehensive care to patients in their practice, 32 Dental. Together, they have dedicated their lives to helping others achieve better oral health and wellness. When patients experience concerns such as tooth loss or extraction, they are faced with the idea of restorations. Our team of professionals are pleased to provide several options, including dentures, dental bridges, and dental implants.

Understanding the benefits of dentures

Often, when patients hear of dentures, they think of the unsightly, false teeth that their grandparents used to wear. Issues such as poor fit and function may also come to mind. However, dentures have come a long way over the years, and Drs. Lan Vo and Sean Breckley are pleased to provide a variety of options. There are several types of dentures that are available in the office for patient consideration. Below are the dentures used to improve the smile:
  • Partial denture – the first type of denture is partial dentures. A partial denture is a removable appliance that is fabricated using a metal and acrylic framework. Like the way a retainer pops into the dental arch, a partial denture does the same, but with more discreet positioning of the wires. The denture includes false teeth that slide into place where the lost teeth once resided, allowing patients to restore the beauty and function to their smile with a simple restoration. Partial dentures are simple to remove, which makes them easy to care for and adjust as necessary.
  • Full denture – the most commonly known type of denture is the full denture. This is the denture that is used when patients are missing all the teeth from a dental arch. These dentures include false teeth and false gum tissues to complete the look. Most patients use denture adhesive to keep these dentures in place and to keep them from shifting around and resulting in the development of sores.

  • Implant-supported denture – one of the best options for our patients to consider is implant-supported dentures. These are full dentures that are made to snap into place over dental implants placed along the dental arch, typically four implants. These implants are placed into the bone during oral surgery, and the process of osseointegration is allowed to occur. This is bone growth that is naturally stimulated once the titanium implant is put in place. Implant-supported dentures are the gold standard because they can hold up to anything, with superior strength and durability. However, not every patient is a proper candidate for implant-supported dentures, as they do require patients to have enough bone structure for successful implantation. Candidacy can be determined during a consultation appointment and evaluation and will often include x-rays, which aide in planning oral surgery in preparation for implants.

Which one is right for me?

The idea of dentures can be daunting, but with the help of our staff, we can assist patients in feeling more comfortable knowing what to expect and getting a better picture of how dentures will play a role in their oral health and wellness. Some patients take into consideration the cost of the restoration. In some cases, dental insurance plans can provide partial or full coverage for dentures.

Are there alternatives to dentures?

Of course! Our practice not only offers dentures for patients, we also provide alternative solutions such as dental bridges and dental implants. Dental implants are great for replacing single teeth, while dental bridges can replace one to three teeth in a row as a more permanent option than partial dentures.

I've been seeing Dr. Breckley and Dr. Vo since they opened this practice, and I'm still a huge fan. I recently had some dental work done with them (like this morning). I've never doubted the doctors' abilities, and this experience was no exception. They are experts and are very good at their craft. I want to also mention the support staff, especially the women on the front desk. They are thorough, helpful, and so very nice. I've never experienced the follow-up and follow through at another practice as I have with them at 32 Dental. I always know what my bill will be. There are never any surprises, and that is so comforting in this day of American healthcare. :) I'll continue to refer my friends to them and patron their practice based on my experiences with them! Thanks!

Wow." I would definitely recommend this practice to anyone who wants both kids and adults to be taken care of at the same location!
