How Long To Get Used To New Dentures GA - Banner

How long will it take to get used to your new dentures in GA?

Losing your teeth will bring many changes to your life, and even when using the highest quality restorations to replace your missing teeth, these changes will take some time to adjust to. Dentures are a tried and true affordable option for replacing lost teeth, but they are quite a change from your natural teeth. If you are wondering how long it will take to get used to new dentures if you choose this restoration from a dentist in Marietta, GA, you must consider a few things.

First, the amount of time it will take to adjust to your dentures will be affected by the type of denture you get. There are two main types of dentures, partial and full dentures. Partial dentures only replace a few teeth, while full dentures replace an entire dental arch. They may be either traditionally fitted to your mouth and set in place with adhesives or anchored in place by implants. You may also receive immediate dentures, which are only temporary and might need to be adjusted many times in order to fit properly before your final denture is created. Depending on the type of denture you choose, you may find it less difficult to adjust to using dentures.

Ultimately, the amount of time it will take to adjust to using dentures will vary from person to person. As with most things, the younger you are, the more quickly your mouth with adapt to the new system, but most people find that it takes a couple of months before they feel comfortable with their dentures. At first, you can expect some irritation of the gums and it may feel awkward to eat and even to speak. Don’t give up though! If you give yourself time, you may find that you can eat and speak just like you used to and your dentures will not irritate your mouth for long. Your dentist at 32 Dental can give you a personalized estimate of how long it will take for you get used to your new dentures depending on the type of denture you choose when you make an appointment.

I've been seeing Dr. Breckley and Dr. Vo since they opened this practice, and I'm still a huge fan. I recently had some dental work done with them (like this morning). I've never doubted the doctors' abilities, and this experience was no exception. They are experts and are very good at their craft. I want to also mention the support staff, especially the women on the front desk. They are thorough, helpful, and so very nice. I've never experienced the follow-up and follow through at another practice as I have with them at 32 Dental. I always know what my bill will be. There are never any surprises, and that is so comforting in this day of American healthcare. :) I'll continue to refer my friends to them and patron their practice based on my experiences with them! Thanks!

Wow." I would definitely recommend this practice to anyone who wants both kids and adults to be taken care of at the same location!

32 Dental was quick and kind. The office staff was efficient and the dentist was very thorough. He referred me to a specialist due to the type of root canal needed. He was able to find one available for the same day. I will definitely use them in the future.
