Kennesaw dentists help patients searching for 'dentures near me' learn how to avoid bacterial buildup

Are you new to the Kennesaw area? Moving to a new area can be a complicated process. Moving to a new area and trying to find new dental providers to help you care for your dentures is even more difficult! 32 Dental is here to help. Whether you are new to the area, or just looking for a competent and caring provider to help you with a denture decision, we are a great result for any "dentures near me" web search. If you have dentures and do not have a provider caring for your oral health, call us. Ongoing routine dental care is an integral part of maintaining your health and ensuring the life of your dentures.

Some of the types of dentures we offer:

  • Traditional full or partial dentures: These are what most people think of when they think dentures. The fully removable appliances replace patients' missing teeth, providing them with the ability to have a natural smile, and maintain proper chewing and talking function.
  • Implant overdentures: These are our preferred denture method. Implants are used in specific locations in your jawbone. Once the implants are ready (your gums have healed around them) a removable denture is snapped into place using the implants as an anchor to secure them in your mouth. This increases your chewing and biting function and helps preserve the integrity of your jawbone structure.

The best ways to care for your dentures to avoid stains and bacteria:

  • After each meal, remove and rinse off your dentures. If you are unable to clean them after every meal, be diligent in at least rinsing and brushing them once daily. This can be done with a denture cleanser, or if one isn't available, mild dish soap will do in a pinch. Avoid abrasive cleaning items, such as stiff bristled brushes and harsh cleansers. Never use whitening tooth paste to clean your dentures, as these toothpastes are extremely abrasive. Avoid any products with bleach as they will weaken the denture and change the color of the base. Also avoid extremely hot water, as this can warp your dentures.
  • If you use denture adhesive, clean any of the leftovers off your gums.
  • Brush any existing natural teeth, your tongue, cheeks, and the roof of your mouth.
  • Soak your dentures overnight, every night.
  • Before putting your dentures back in, be sure to rinse them thoroughly. This helps you avoid any contact with chemicals from cleaning solutions. We suggest always handling your dentures over a soft towel or a sink full of water as dentures are fragile.
  • Always keep your dentures in room temperature water or denture solution. This helps them avoid warping from being dried out or placed in hot water. Store them up high, as kids sometimes can't resist playing with them and more than one denture owner has found out dogs love playing with them too!
  • Keep consistent dental visits. These regular visits allow us to examine your mouth and dentures, and clean them.
  • Beware loose dentures! They can cause infections. Call us immediately if you notice your dentures are feeling loose in your mouth.

I've been seeing Dr. Breckley and Dr. Vo since they opened this practice, and I'm still a huge fan. I recently had some dental work done with them (like this morning). I've never doubted the doctors' abilities, and this experience was no exception. They are experts and are very good at their craft. I want to also mention the support staff, especially the women on the front desk. They are thorough, helpful, and so very nice. I've never experienced the follow-up and follow through at another practice as I have with them at 32 Dental. I always know what my bill will be. There are never any surprises, and that is so comforting in this day of American healthcare. :) I'll continue to refer my friends to them and patron their practice based on my experiences with them! Thanks!

Wow." I would definitely recommend this practice to anyone who wants both kids and adults to be taken care of at the same location!
