Brush with Floss to maintain teeth healthy
Drs. Lan Vo and Sean Breckley of Kennesaw, GA are a team of dentists in the area who want to ensure patients have healthy smiles. They hear questions a lot from their patients about tips and suggestions for maintaining a beautiful mouth free from disease and decay. Patients in the community are welcome to contact the staff at 32 Dental to learn about the ways in which they can achieve and maintain a healthy smile:

  • Brush your teeth after every meal. One way to ensure that the teeth stay clean is to brush the teeth each time after you eat or drink. At sometimes, this may not always be possible, so brushing morning and night is often well-received. Brushing can keep plaque and tartar from building up on the natural tooth enamel, which is one culprit of conditions such as tooth decay that can develop.
  • Floss after every meal. Flossing helps remove food particles from between the teeth that can become lodged and may break down into sugars that can contribute to cavities. If not possible, patients should try to floss at least once a day, typically in the evening.
  • Use today’s technology to your advantage. Today, there are many amazing technologies that can make caring for the smile easier. Our cellular telephones can be used to time ourselves and our children to ensure that everyone is brushing for at least two full minutes. Patients can also take advantage of electric toothbrushes which can sometimes make it easier to get into all the nooks and crannies of the smile.

  • Eat an appropriate diet. Nutrition also plays a part in keeping the smile healthy. Patients should make sure they are eating a wide variety of foods, including more fruits and vegetables. Sugary products such as candies and sodas can contribute to cavities and may have a negative impact on the smile.
  • Visit your dentist regularly for check-ups. The American Dental Association recommends patients of all ages to visit the dentist on a routine basis, specifically every six months for a cleaning and examination. This can help in maintaining a healthy smile and ensuring that there are no problems developing. If so, they can be caught early by a dental professional and addressed as soon as possible. This includes problems such as periodontal disease and tooth decay.
  • See the dentist when problems arise. The earlier a problem is addressed, the easier it is to treat. Additionally, patients can save money if they treat problems in their earlier stages. For example, small cavities may be treated before they cause pain. Otherwise, they may grow larger and may cause patients to experience sensitivity with sweets. Furthermore, they can become deep enough that they cause an infection on the dental pulp inside of the tooth and cause a severe toothache. This toothache may only be treated at this point with root canal therapy or permanent extraction of the tooth itself. By visiting the dentist when issues are first presenting themselves, patients can be more proactive about their overall oral health and wellness.

I've been seeing Dr. Breckley and Dr. Vo since they opened this practice, and I'm still a huge fan. I recently had some dental work done with them (like this morning). I've never doubted the doctors' abilities, and this experience was no exception. They are experts and are very good at their craft. I want to also mention the support staff, especially the women on the front desk. They are thorough, helpful, and so very nice. I've never experienced the follow-up and follow through at another practice as I have with them at 32 Dental. I always know what my bill will be. There are never any surprises, and that is so comforting in this day of American healthcare. :) I'll continue to refer my friends to them and patron their practice based on my experiences with them! Thanks!

Wow." I would definitely recommend this practice to anyone who wants both kids and adults to be taken care of at the same location!
